Music Lessons
-
Instrumental lessons are on a private one-to-one basis held either in person for local students or online.
We currently teach a wide range of instruments, including piano, woodwind, violin and guitar. To find out what a teacher near you is able to offer, please visit our ‘Our Teachers’ button to find out about our teachers.
If interested in learning an instrument not listed above, we are happy to look into the possibility of sourcing a suitable tutor as part of J&M Music Services.
We also are pleased to run lessons for music theory either within your instrumental lessons or as an individual session where extra support is needed.
Some students like to track their progression by completing graded exams through formal examination boards such as ABRSM or Trinity. We are happy to prepare and put students forward for these if they wish to do so.
We hold a 100% pass rate.

We offer audition preparation and coaching in musical theatre.
These are normally one-off sessions rather than regular lessons and not aimed towards beginners.
These will be on selected dates throughout the year and are offered by our Co-Founder, Jonathan Mitra. If interested, please send us a message/email to find out when the next session will be. These are based in Royston, Barnsley at £30 per hour for a 1:1 lesson.
